First vintage with what has quickly become a classic area on the Sonoma Coast for Syrah. Located off Lakeville Highway in the southern tip of the Petaluma Gap, this wind-swept hillside sits just 3 miles from the San Pablo Bay and is ideally situated for Syrah. Planted on a combination of sand, gravel, and Adobe Clay, Flocchini vineyard was planted in 2002 by the Flocchini family who still own and farm the site today. We are thrilled to have established this partnership.
The 2019 Flocchini Vineyard Syrah is made in our more elegant, restrained style. This nose shows beautiful floral notes along with fresh blackberry, plum skin, charcuterie and white pepper. Plush tannins coat the palate, showcasing elegance over power, tart blueberries and lively acidity make this Syrah a perfect accompaniment on the table.
Technical Notes: Ingredients: Syrah Clone Noir, minimal effective sulphur 100% Whole Cluster Aged 10 months in neutral French Oak puncheon and barrel 3 barrel produced Unfined, unfiltered, 37ppm TSO2
