Huddled in the Capell Valley is the Moss Creek Vineyard. The benefit of making Zinfandel from older vines is they tend to produce fewer clusters, concentrating the flavors and preserving the acidity in the wine. That concentration is immediately evident in the dense and dark color of the wine. In the glass, ripe red plums and dates are accompanied by aromas of manoї, tobacco and star anise. The palate shines with an abundance of ripe, dark juicy fruits, vanilla, licorice and new leather. With just a touch of tannin for structure, the lengthy finish makes this versatile and intense wine the perfect choice for any kind of nature adventure.
