“The winery was founded by world-famous Master Sommelier Larry Stone and winemaker Dominique Lafon, whose stunning wines from Burgundy are among the most sought-after in the world. This Pinot is made mostly from upper and lower-elevation vineyard blocks on the Lingua Franca Estate located in the Eola-Amity appellation blended with additional fruit from neighboring vineyards in the area. This Pinot Noir is strikingly vibrant and utterly delicious my friends! Loaded with bright red and black cherry fruits, pomegranate, and strawberry layered with cut herb, black tea and perfumed rose petal over crunchy mineral earth all soaring on a vein of juicy and wildly fresh acidity that surges through this wine…the vibrant aromatics and the ripe but gorgeously muscular tannin, plus exotic spice notes bring that Old World Burgundian feel without a doubt!”

Winemaker says

“Estate grown Avni Pinot Noir is focused and concentrated with an overlying elegance and silky mouthfeel. The large proportion of complexly flavored, savory and mineral upper block fruit combines seamlessly with the rounder flavors of Pommard clone on Jory soils. Though the vineyard was still recovering from drought, the fruit quality was nearly perfect, as temperatures were moderate at harvest, and we avoided the later rains.”
