Winemaker’s Tasting Notes
Rain, rain, rain! Finally, some relief from the drought. The vines were able to show of their muscles with some great weather and some heat in early harvest help provide picture perfect grapes. This wine’s deep garnet purple color is the first impact. A seductive introduction into the jammy blackberry and cedar aromas. Swirling adds fresh crushed mulberry and faint toffee. The plush flavors build upon the aromas with ripe plumb, hazelnut layering on brioche and subdued anise. The weight broadly distributes toasted nut and vanilla seed in the lingering finish. Accompanies everyday meals and special occasions equally well while enhancing family and friends. Cheers!
