Tasting Notes
The Silver Ghost Cabernet Franc is full-bodied, expressive and rich. The nose shows notes of spring flowers, kirsch and spice while the palate is a mélange of blue and black fruits, blackberry compote and dark chocolate with a background of fine tannins. The layered textures of fruit persist during the lengthy finish. Excellent with food such as smoked sausage or chimichurri flank steak.
92 Points Antonio Galloni – The 2019 Cabernet Franc is plush, succulent and quite inviting. Raspberry jam, spice, menthol and mocha are all kicked up. This is a pretty exuberant style of Franc, and yet there is good varietal character in the wine’s underlying energy. Pretty floral notes perk up the vibrant finish.
91 Points James Suckling – This red shows leafy character with notes of blackcurrant, mint, dried herbs and crushed stones. Medium-bodied with round tannins, bright acidity and a juicy mouth-feel. Fruity finish. Drink or hold.
