The Vineyard

We agree that the key to making stellar wine is working shoulder to shoulder with great farmers in top vineyard sites. We source from some of the most prestigious sites in Paso Robles’ Adelaida, Estrella, El Pomar, Creston, Geneseo Districts, including John Vineyards, Beato, Armory, Bootjack Ranch, Wilderness, and Lago Vineyards.

M is a tribute to the mavericks; those who came before us, who farmedthis area with grit and determination, and those who continue the legacytoday with mettle and moxie.

Vinification

Destemmed, 3-5 day cold-soak, fermented in stainless steel and small open top bins, with pump-overs occurring during cold-soak and punch downs during fermentation. Aged 20 months in 225 and 228 liter French and American oak barriques, 20% of which were new.

Tasting Notes

Chocolate-blackberry ganache, cranberry preserves, sweet mint, black licorice, dark olive, new leather, mahogany. Palate is sleek and supple, rm, ne-grain, polished tannins, with a complex, and classynish.
