I always find a subtle red fruit and mineral character in top Stags Leap Cabernet, and this beauty has it in spades. Full-bodied on the palate, this pure, plush, sexy Napa Valley Cabernet has sweet tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. Seemingly all about sweet fruit and texture, it’s nevertheless going to evolve for 20-25 years.”

It needs time to come together, as the elements are a bit disjointed, but there is a ton of potential, that much is clear. Dark blue/purplish berry fruit, spice, lavender, chocolate and white flowers abound. I would prefer to cellar the 2018 for a few years to allow the tannins to soften.”
