“The 2019 McGah Vineyard Petit Verdot is a dark and deep winefilled with immense violet/lavender floral aromas along withblue fruit compote, damp earth and a slight touch of minerality. Multi layered with dark cherry and black fruit, this wine’s perfectly ripe tannins and complex viscosity are due to its open top fermentation which produces a dense mouthfeel. Dark bluefruits, slight floral notes and sensual femininity are framed by medium bodied tannins, hints of tobacco, bitter chocolate, andlilacs. It is smoother than most Petit Verdot’s due our precision farming, fermentation techniques, vine age and block location, displaying exceptional intensity and length on the palate. This is a perfect and rare rendition of straight Petit Verdot. Drink now with a long decant or lay this down for 3 -4 years to allow all complexities to come together.”
