Winemaker Notes
“Lanson Rose has a beautiful pure color with pale salmon touches. Aromas of roses and fruit predominate, with discrete notes of red berries. The initial impression is tender, well-rounded and fresh. This wine has harmonious balance and good length on the finish. Delicious served with fresh red berry desserts or simply on its own.”

93 Points Wine Enthusiast – “Dry, while still full of fine fruit, this is a young Champagne. Its freshness is balanced by the tangy, mineral texture that gives shape. This delicious rosé is ready to drink.”

92 Points James Suckling – “Pale salmon-copper hue with notes of strawberries, tangerines, persimmons, bread dough and some chamomile. Lovely freshness and fruitiness, with a medium body and sleek bubbles. Vibrant red and orange fruit throughout. 53% pinot noir, 32% chardonnay and 15% pinot meunier. 7% red wine (pinot noir from Bouzy and Les Riceys and meunier from Vallee de la Marne). Base wine 2017 with 35% reserve wine. 8g/L dosage. Excellent for an aperitif. Drink now.”

91 Points Jeb Dunnuck – “Fruity and primary up front, the NV Champagne Le Rosé pours a pale salmon with an orange tinge, which they achieve with the addition of 7% red wine from the villages of Bouzy and Les Riceys. Offering attractive aromas of orange zest, nectarine, and white strawberry, it’s medium-bodied and has a rounded mid-palate, with a supple mousse, a juicy and fresh style, and a floral flourish on the finish. This is a very charming and versatile rosé to enjoy now or over the coming 6-8 years. Maturity: 2023 – 2031”

91 Points Decanter – “What a treat! This is made by one of the first houses to have produced a blended rosé, as early as 1833. Their experience shows in this delicious rosé Champagne, a blend of 53% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier, 30-40% reserve wines, aged for a minimum of three years on lees, with a further six months post-disgorgement. Pretty salmon pink in colour, and with a fragrance of sugared raspberries, it’s fresh, supple and youthful in style but with a good depth of juicy red berry fruit, and a good length. Extremely moreish. Drinking Window: 2022 – 2025”

90 Points Wine Spectator – “A vibrant rosé, with a lively, creamy mousse and flavors of white raspberry, peach skin, toast point and salted almond. Reveals hints of grated ginger and pink grapefruit zest on the finish. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Disgorged February 2023. Drink now. 4,500 cases imported.”
